Where We Come From
The roots of our company go back to 1920. At that time, the foundation was laid at Kurt EFFNER in Berlin – with handheld diagnostic instruments, instruments for anesthesia, surgery, and proctology, as well as miniature light bulbs.
This expertise became the foundation for our work today. As Faromed GmbH, we have been continuously developing our product lines for more than 30 years.

Founding of the company Kurt Effner
The Faromed success story began in 1920 with the company Kurt Effner and its manufacture and sale of handheld diagnostic instruments.
Effner also made a name for itself with its special expertise in the development and manufacture of special miniature incandescent lamps. These were not only used for its own instruments, but also as customer-specific products by well-known companies around the world.
